Decline in all Nordic markets 2012

IRM:s new report "The Nordic Advertising Market 2012" depicts a weakening of the Nordic market. Total advertising investment in Nordic media amounted to €9.8 billion during 2012. In local currencies, all countries showed decreasing ad spend.

 

In total, net advertising revenues reached €9.8 billion which corresponds to a slight decrease in comparison with 2011. In local currencies, the decrease is greater. Norway had the smallest decline at -0.6 percent. Denmark experienced the largest drop in net ad spend at -5 percent.

 

Norway continues to be the most advertising intensive country. Ad spend per capita amounted to €510 in Norway during 2012 which was approximately €140 more than in Sweden and Denmark, and more than €200 more than in the Finnish market.
